William (Bill) Liberti

Bill, has over 30 years of industry experience providing financial and wealth management services. Beginning his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1987, Bill witnessed first-hand the “Black Monday - Crash of 1987” from the 103rd floor of the World Trade Center. This experience has influenced his risk mitigation strategies and provided a foundation for his investment philosophy. Bill worked at C&M, Inc. from 2006 until 2021. Since then, he has built a team with the purpose to provide his clients with a breadth of financial guidance. In addition, he has developed the WealthFX1 process that he uses for life events like divorce, retirement, career change and more. WFX is a client-advisor approach which furnishes clients with a panoramic view of their unique financial situation and avenues to facilitate enriching their lives. In recognition of his passion for enriching his clients’ lives, Bill has been honored and named a Five Star Wealth Manager consecutively since 2013. In 2021, Bill decided to open his own firm, and that is how Wealth Effects was born. Prior to entering the financial services industry, he spent four years in the U.S. Air Force, reaching the rank of Captain. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, and attended the Carroll School of Management MBA program at Boston College. Bill has always been active within his community, having served for several years as a board member for both St. Raphael Parish School and Arlington Catholic High School. He is also the founder, Treasurer, and a current board member of the Essex Bay Sailing Club, a non-profit dedicated to teaching children to sail.

Patricia Flaherty
Vice President - Investments
Pat, has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry, focusing on investments and retirement planning. She found her passion for markets and industry sectors as a student at Boston College, where she graduated with a BS degree in Economics. Beginning with her first role at Shearson American Express, she was able to develop as a premier advisor, while fostering relationships with her client-families. Later on, she moved on to join the Morgan Stanley team. After more than 20 years of advising clients, families, and small business, Pat continues to manage portfolios and address other investment concerns and issues. She worked for Coburn & Meredith, Inc. from 2006 until 2021, when she decided to joined Bill in his new firm, Wealth Effects. Pat has lived in the Boston metropolitan area all of her life and remains involved in the community, having served on the Municipal Finance Committee of Winchester for a term. She also actively engages with her Alma mater, advising alumni and fundraising development.

Stanton
Senior Vice President - Investments
Stanton F. Weissenborn, AKA “Tom”, entered Cornell University in the fall of 1943, but in December 1943 enlisted in the Army Air Force Officers Training College, as a Navigator/Bombardier candidate. This program was prematurely cut short four months later, because of the severe losses to flight crews over Europe. A few months later, Tom joined a B-29 crew, as a tail gunner flying bombing missions over Japan. Upon his honorable discharge, he re-entered Cornell and graduated from the newly formed Graduate School of Business with an MBA. Upon graduation, he joined Estabrook & Co. a small NYSE member firm in Boston. While there he served in many facets of the business from operations, security research, institutional sales and trading, and became a limited partner in the firm then called Moseley, Hallgarten, Estabrook & Weeden. In the 80s he joined Janney Montgomery Scott, where he formed and developed a specialized department offering externally produced security research services to the institutional market. He recently retired from Janney as senior vice president investments to join Wealth Effects.

Sue Pierel
Operations Manager
Sue has worked in the financial industry for more than 20 years. She has a broad experience working within different departments at Fidelity Investments and now, she is our new Operations Manager and handles all financial operations for our clients. Before working in finance, Sue worked in the legal department of CVS corporation. She is an excellent communicator and has participated in the Fidelity Woman's Leadership Group and attended several Women's conferences in MA where she is originally from and RI, where she resides now. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, sewing, making puzzles and going to the theater.

Bernard Katz is a Registered Investment Advisor. Prior to joining Wealth Effects, Bernard spent over 35 years as the sole proprietor of a CPA practice focusing on tax and investment management. He provided personalized wealth management solutions for individuals, families and business owners using integrated tax planning and investment strategies to help grow and protect client’s wealth. Bernard is a recently retired Certified Public Accountant. He earned an MBA in Finance from Pace University and a BS in Accounting from Brooklyn College. In his free time, he enjoys bicycle riding, classic music, sports games (baseball, hockey, tennis), and spending time with family. He currently resides in Boynton Beach, Florida for most of the year and Holmdel, New Jersey.

Nikolai Krupyshev
Associate Wealth Manager
Nikolai joined Wealth Effects in 2021. One of his primary responsibilities is to design and automate efficient business processes that will provide the most value to our clients. In addition, he works diligently to deliver an excellent client experience by managing sophisticated technology platforms for both our clients and our team of advisors at Wealth Effects. Nikolai began his career in the industry in April of 2020 as an intern for the Boston Harbor Group. He currently holds his Series 65 license and is working towards obtaining his CFA designation, in order to continue pursuing his passion for helping individuals navigate a complex financial landscape. Nikolai, graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Economics. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, weightlifting, and playing lacrosse.

Rosine, a CPA, has a BS degree in Business with a major in accounting from Wright State University. She began her career at Arthur Andersen, what was then one of the Big Eight accounting firms, where she was a tax department senior accountant. There she had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tax projects, perform audit work and tax research and learn tax strategies. After raising four children, her most recent experience, at several local CPA firms, involved providing tax and accounting services to individuals and small business clients. Away from work Rosine enjoys spending time working in her garden and sailing on the North Shore and cooking for family and friends.

Cliff, brings over 45 years of experience working in financial services. Cliff has been working alongside Bill and Pat since 2012. He focuses on client service and assisting clients with their operational needs. Cliff brings trust, experience, and compassion to each client relationship. What this means is that he is dedicated to client advocacy and seeing that requests are met. He acknowledges that each client has unique goals, concerns, and objectives, all playing a critical part in how clients make decisions. Cliff finds enjoyment in client conversations and active listening. Previously, he held leadership roles in his community, serving as a trustee for both the Town of Amherst, NH, and the Amherst Congregational Church.

Warner “Chip” Wayne
Vice President - Investments
Warner “Chip” Wayne is a Registered Investment Adviser advisor who has worked in the financial services industry since 1972. He began his career as a commercial insurance underwriter with Hartford Insurance Group, and subsequently served as a broker for both regional and national insurance brokers, including AON Corp (then Alexander & Alexander of Boston). There he served regional clients as Vice President and also reported to their corporate Financial Products Group as a shared director, advising financial service companies and banks, across the country. In 1996, he switched careers in order to be more involved with both insurance and investments. He joined American Express Financial Advisors, serving individual investment and planning clients. Shortly thereafter he was hired away by MetLife (formerly New England Financial). He expanded his product base by joining Winslow, Evans & Crocker, a dually registered independent broker-dealer based in Boston. For 15 years he was a Registered Investment Advisor and served as a Senior Vice President at the firm. He holds a Series 7, and Series 65 license, and is also licensed in multiple states as an Individual Insurance Producer. When Winslow was purchased by National Securities Corp, he joined Ameriprise Financial, serving there as a financial adviser. He recently transitioned back to the independent brokerage environment in order to better serve his clients on a discretionary basis, and will be regulated under the auspices of the SEC. Previously, for almost three years, Chip served in the US Navy Submarine Service aboard the USS Dace (SSN 607). He is qualified in submarines and was rated as a Sonar Technician.
